School Days: episode 8 “School Festival” “Gakusai” 学祭
What a weird episode of school days this was. Aside from the regularly scheduled melodrama between Makoto, Katsura and Sekai, there was some more direct interference from Setsuna and the whole filler-esque school festival deal. There were times that I laughed out loud (zettai ryouki scene) only to be thrown back into heavy drama minutes later. Truly a roller coaster of emotion.
The knee-jerk reaction I initially had was that Setsuna was getting thrown into the mix, but it really doesn’t appear to be that way since Setsuna just wanted to make a memory before going to France. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings for him, however I think it’s pretty unlikely that she’ll compete for him like Sekai and Kotonoha have. The (probably) bigger implication is that Kotonoha saw her, and it’s going to be hard for Setsuna to explain this away considering how much she had tried to keep Makoto and Kotonoha apart.
Kotonoha, on the other hand, has already stooped to offering her body to get what she wants from Makoto, and I could see her perceiving this new threat as incentive to speed things along in order to keep him. For now though, there doesn’t seem to be anything but lust in Makoto’s feelings for her, so I still have my doubts that this will end well for Kotonoha. Actually, I really don’t know how this will end and could speculate all day, but we’ll have to wait and see. Next episode is about the kouyasai (after-festival event), and I hope the dance will be the source of more good drama.
okay, we’ll let pass Setsuna with that kiss from Makoto (I don’t know about Kotonoha-sama though…) but still, why the heck is Makoto getting nervous that now Kotonoha has opened her self for him? In the train in this epi, the 2 of them alone, ahhhh, Kotonoha is so seductive and I like that on her! Yeah! She even said that she’ll invite him again in their house once Kokoro isn’t around to make out on each other! Goodness me…but with Sekai, Makoto gets turned on immediately, man, he’s a total perv when he looks at Sekai’s work clothes in Radish he gets horny in a second. Is he a fetishist or what? And there’s the LOUNGE, where Kotonoha-sama is the receptionist to guests, hmm…I wonder, is that legal in Japanese schools during their School Festivities or just a work of fiction? Wow… =D
Anyway, the episode really is something but wasn’t the one I’m expecting to see. Looking forward to “Kouyasai : After Evening Festival” - episode 9. I sure hope that Makoto would re-assess his feelings and this time, make out with Kotonoha-sama! Probably in the LOUNGE! hehehehehe!
Oh yeah, Sekai really did a helluvah slap as seen in this epi!!! Yay!!!! Cheers for Kotonoha-sama! But she cried though. :~( But still, its OK! =P ~~~~~

I don’t think that he deserves either of them. He is completely selfish and needs to break it off with one of them. I think that it would be karma if he wound up all alone with every girl in school hating his guts. Still, I can’t wait for the next ep!

I cant wait for Episode 10, as im completely addicted to this series. I think that watching the game endings has made it more nailbiting, as we dont know whats going to happen…

Damnit man. Makoto is a total pussy for not breaking it off with Kotonoha and a bastard for his selfishness. Oh well, some people are like that, but girls should know that he’s a player if he is. That’s just not cool though leading her [Kotonoha] like that. Bakkaaaaaaa!

If he broke up with Kotonoha then Sekai wouldnt be heartbroken and those pair would be together more times than a pothead and his bong.

. Im suprised she didnt show herself more to him and they could have had sometime. In the flashback to the start when Setsuna was crying that was a chance and half to get in on some action with her, to give her a hug and see where it goes from there. Plus when Setsuna became Class President that must have been a hint to Makoto, unless he is denser than a black hole…
This eposide is not good enough to beat 5, 6 and 7. But i am really intrested what happend in train. What was Motoko answer? And what Katsura will do in this situation.
hmm school days episode has pretty good timing on when to end the episode! hmm…dead meat kiyora…or…dead meat kotonoha? or itou? things have just gone from bad to worse to even much worse!
but wait…when you look at the “lounge” in kotonoha’s class booth, it kinda looks like the one in itou/katsura H-scene in the game right? so we might not expect the rape scene as well
