School Days 12
After watching this, I can understand why the episode was delayed due to the axe murder. It was much more violent than I thought it’d be, and that’s even with the black blood censorship (which made things look kinda weird). Actually though, according to the people who went to the special screening of the final episode that Overflow held, the AT-X broadcast was edited heavily. In the uncut version, not only was the blood was red, but there were also no flashbacks during the Makoto stabbing scene (a lot more of where she stabbed him were there), they actually showed Makoto’s head in the bag, and there were apparently some more sounds added to the baby-confirmation scene.
Speaking of which, it’s not entirely clear about whether Sekai was really pregnant or not, but I tend to give her the benefit of the doubt because Kotonoha was completely messed up by that point, and I don’t think Sekai had been pregnant long enough for Kotonoha to be able to just cut her open and find a dead baby. That scene was just one part of what ended up being one of the most disturbing episodes I’ve ever seen.
If you think about it, there were two violent deaths, a severed head, an opening up of a girl up to see if she’s pregnant, and a hugging of that severed head. I certainly wasn’t expecting a good ending or anything, but this was off the charts since they essentially combined two bad endings from the game. The sad thing is that they could have gone for a clean sweep of all three bad endings by having Kotonoha kill herself by jumping off the building. I think that the yacht scene probably had more dramatic impact than that would have though.
Final Thoughts: This series started off so innocently like it was going to be any other harem show, and even though a lot of us knew that there was a potential for a bad ending like in the game, I don’t think that many people seriously thought they were going to end that way. That is, until Makoto started sleeping with everything that moved - putting himself in an unredeemable situation - and Kotonoha started showing signs of being mentally ill. Overall though, I still think the production team did a remarkable job building up the suspense and portraying each of the characters’ raw emotions. The story isn’t exactly a crowd-pleaser, but with an ending like this, I can honestly say that I won’t be forgetting about School Days anytime soon.

Sekai - bitch for lettin makoto sex her while he’s with kotonoha. and total asshole for scarin the shit outta makoto by sayin shes pregnant when shes not.
Kotonoha - … im not rly sure if she did anything wrong other than making out with makoto in front of sekai(even though she lied about bein pregnant) and total psycho bitch for cuttin up makoto, showing it to sekai, killing sekai, and talking to makoto’s head on the boat… flat out weird..
and makoto’s face when he’s dead scared the shit outta me.. it was even more scary than kotonoha’s when she was broken hearted..

I have mixed feelings about School days.
Look at the title, I thought it was suppose to be a light hearted comedy-romance. I so fucking think it was going to be like school rumble, lovehina, suzuka, Ichigo 100%etc.
No one will forsee this conclusion at the first 4 episode.
This is a fucked up anime. Kotonoha, Seika and the likes are draw and graphic-ed very very well. I am still bashing my head why it had to turn up like that. Especially ep11 where hikaru EVEN slp with Matoko. Haha, I admit I wanted Matoko to suffer very badly. Right from the start of his indecisiveness, apathy and perverted self-centred actions that is so detrimental to Kotonoha.
I think we sort of forseed, Seika, otome , kiyora will also be hurted by matoko. THis is seriously fucked up, even time I said Matoko gettin himself into deeper shit, everytime I saw him manipulating the girls feelings, I was actually hoping for a redemption. It doesn’t happen.
Well, that may be the unqiue traits of School days that draw so many fans. AHH. Sorry fot the rant, I just need to get it off my chest.
Now, I guess, we all can slp well. Going to watch Air TV now. School days make me drawn more to depressing anime. Well, at least there is a jerk like Matoko there.

This was HORRIBLE! I was prepare for a bad ending but this was really bad and bloddy! We did not only get a bad ending, we got 2 bad endings and a final scene with Kotonoha with Makoto’s head!!! Too creepy!!
I don’t know what to think about School Days… I liked it since the beginnig and I thought that it’d be a very nice romantic anime, something that it could happen to anyone but with every episode I realize that it wasn’t going to be like that. I never knew what could happen next and that caught my attention.
After episode ten everything was so mess up! I think it was so unreal and exaggerated and this last episode was too violent!! The part when Kotonaha wanted to confirm if Sekai was pregnant was sooooo… (I think that she really WAS pregnant but whatever…)
School days was a very good anime but at the end it lost its essence. It was a story about a love triangle and end up being a story about a bastard named Makoto, a pregnant girl named Sekai and a totally insane girl name Kotonoha.
what did i tell ya, nothing like a lovely hacking gorefest to finish off a sweethearted series about teenage romance.

I wanted Itou to suffer horribly like everyone else, but the creators did a good job of making it seem as though he actually learned something and given the chance would not cheat again, and through all the cheating katsura finally leveled up from being a little girl and i still think that if sekai never went mad they would had had a chance now, but it just turned out have a bad ending it’s quite sad that katsura with nothing left had to resort to a head on a nice book imao.

oh well indeed we have a boat right there in the last episode…well, I don’t think it’s all nice…heck how’d you call a boat with a bodyless head on board nice! =O *sigh* well then it’s all over. from ep1-11 I was expecting that the ending would be that different from the game…Well…at least the series killed 2 birds with 1 stone (kotonoha) which is sekai and itou, the 2 culprits, without them none of this would have happened hahaha!)

I loved how things just became so exponentially worse as it went on. You start off with a simple love triangle, but then Setsuna comes along and foments jealousy and miscommunication, all the meanwhile Makoto becomes increasingly uncontrollable. Soon everything has become complicated and sordid, and the situation spirals out of control so quickly it hits what can only be the lowest low for a downer ending since Tang.
Let this be a lesson to all you Unlucky Everydudes out there! Never try to start a harem when your haremettes don’t KNOW they’re haremettes!

If anyone hadn’t noticed yet, not only did they combine the bad endings but they also placed in a good one, which is the final kiss of konotoha and itou at the rooftop during lunch time. that was actually the game’s Kotonoha-good ending, in which no one dies, kotonoha and itou finally together

Even though this is an Anime, it get’s real, in my stomach atleast. If this is reality, ofcourse I wouldn’t know, however I wouldnt be surprised. Had he cut off his dick in ep1 then none of this would’ve happened, hope they make that a season 2, or atleast a special. Besides, to sum it all up, what’s life with nothing but sugar without a little salt and pepper?

the beginning was so pure you know boy likes girl gorl likes boy then like episode 5 or it got really wired and by episode 7 It was just sick an demented wow I know about the ending to this show,I thought Makoto got her pregnant and left for Konohana an I was like oh he deserved it but then when I found out Sekai was lying about being pregnant I was like oh my god, and i felt bad about Makoto even though he was a two timing ahole but still not die in the series and I knew that Konohana was kill Sekai because rooftop midnight once she sent her the text I was like Oh she’s dead and I felt so bad for Konohana but at least she got her revenge only real part that crept me out was when she was holding Makoto head on the boat also when she cuts Sekais stomach open and I still feel bad for Makoto cause if it was for Sekai I bet he would be dating whats he face his best from from middle school forgot her name, as for Makoto and Sekai have fun burning in hell much but still loved the show^^

And yes, he got royally served ArtificialInsomniac , I didn’t think Sekai -too- guilty but Kotonoha was raving mad, this was proved when she slices open Sekai ”See, there’s nobody there” lol. When I watch this, I never played the game. Though, I visit the wikipedia page… I get glimpse of “Bad” Endings.
But… this is the first Anime I had watched that had this content. You would really think that it wouldn’t end like “it”, seeing that most Animes aren’t like that. -But the fact that it does happened, meant this Anime is exceptionally good, definitely not a crowd-pleaser but good.
Really, at first, I thought this is a laid-back Anime that focuses on normal lives of High Schools, but it made me dump my prejudice… amazing.
Makoto - At first, I like his innocence, but when he started going out with other people that Sekai and Katsura… I started to hate him as a man. -And for not breaking off with Katsura earlier.
Sekai - I was rooting for her, but I hate her for being cowardly for not telling Katsura earlier… she had betrayed Katsura, and Katsura found it when it was too late, thus she snaps. I am convinced she is pregnant, she has the signs of it… but when Katsura cut her up… what would she expect? A 2-inch fetus?
Katsura - Really, a girl that is bullied. A girl that is betrayed. A girl that had been keeping her feelings inside. -What would you expect her to do? I would snap too if I were her…. as I am the same as her, I understand her.
It’s Sekai’s fault for seducing Makoto. Kiyora’s fault for exchanging seats with Sekai. It’s Makoto’s fault for not being faithful. It’s Otome’s fault because she seduced Makoto… etc, etc, etc…
In the end, it’s nobody’s fault -every contributed in how the ending ends, so stop pointing fingers. -I may be wrong, but I don’t care. It’s kinda feels good to release the tension after watching that…

Got 2 love this 1 am happy and sad at the same time happy because that was the most brilliant and probably unique ending in the world, and also sad that Katsura and makoto didn’t live happily ever after as he appeared to be more mature at the end.

It shows what can happen when things get too crazy. It was all fault of damn Makoto for being too irresponsible and getting laid with every girl in the anime. I really wanted him to die. On the other hand, i was really sad when Kotonoha killed Sekai, she was really cute. =(
